Friday Flash Fiction

What’s it all about then?

Just a bit of fun really. The talented science fiction writer Gareth Lyn Powell (GLP) came up with the idea and a bunch of us, not above jumping on a well crafted bandwagon, joined in. The idea was to post a piece of free flash fiction every Friday. All of this originally appeared on my first blog over at wordpress.com.

For me it was a way of ensuring I wrote something every week. You can read some of GLP’s thoughts on Friday Flash Fiction and other matters over at SciFi.uk.com

I sort of liked this the idea s that went into the plot were very good. I liked the mage and I liked his atitude. I just thought your warrior was kind of flat. He made it this far but it seems with guile or cunning. He could have used a little of both, however, entertaining

  24. Thanks Kirby Ann. And well spotted, this is of course as a result of my using a time machine in order to fit my last few FFF entries in…honest :)

    Fixing it now.

  25. interesting, time machine hu? Can you take me back to the 1960′s? I always wanted to meet Jim Morrison :)

    New fiction from the hinterlands.

Sit in the car and watch them load it up. Probably hate me by now. As though I’m faking it or something. There; she just shot an evil in my general direction.
Moving the eyeballs is okay, just about. The neck though, is not. Like it’s been frozen in its place; icy crystals piercing the sinew and flesh, stretching the nerve endings until they shriek their pain signal to the brain. But no; must be faking that.
And there’s my feet. Been numb ever since.
So I couldn’t go on their precious walks or anything.
It’ll be fun at the airport though. It’ll be fun when they have to push me onto the plane in a wheelchair.
Never been in a wheelchair before.
