A brief note on the current work-in-progress. I just tipped over the half way mark. Go me.
Now, this still means I am a fair bit behind but also that I still have a fighting chance of hitting my deadline that now seems to be looming closer and closer. The critical point for me is that the story has a momentum of its own that is meaning I am increasing in speed writing, the fact most of the really early historical bits – requiring more thought around dialogue – are out of the way also helps.
Fingers crossed for the deadline. Wish me luck.
